Lahore Business School 2015 is an ambitious strategic vision to give a competitive direction to the constitution and positioning of Lahore Business School (LBS) over the next 5 years, to become one of the best schools of management and business in Pakistan and achieve international standing.
The Vision is to develop LBS as a premier business school at an international level, therefore becoming a destination of preference for the best students, teachers, scholars and researchers from within Pakistan and the region, if not internationally. My vision is to see Lahore Business School as an exemplary employer placing much needed value on supporting, developing and rewarding staff. This is to be matched with providing students with excellent learning experience, supporting effective teaching and provide researchers with unmatched facilities with efficient, effective administrative, financial and technical support. This is a vision to develop Pakistan’s first ‘iconic’ institute, a ‘brand’ that is known to house high profile researcher, teachers and students, a centre of choice for graduate studies and research degrees.
It is not unknown territory, as there are those ‘iconic’ institutions around the world, and achieving this requires complete dedication by my colleagues at LBS and the management at The University of Lahore (UOL). It is with rigorous review and evaluation that The University of Lahore has made significant progress and it shall be passion and dedication that shall help us achieve the mission, and realise this vision I have presented in these few paragraphs.
With The University of Lahore moving into a new stage of its development, as a period of major strategic investment, it is important for all departments and faculties at UOL to adapt a vision. Together UOL shall achieve greater objectives in totality.
In implementing this strategic vision, my colleagues and the management shall place a lot of energy, passion and courage. The gap that needs to be closed between a good institute and an ‘iconic’ one requires not only calculated effectiveness in pursuit of the ambitious goals, but also high levels of organisational efficiency.
The test of this vision will be what is achieved by 2015, and I hope to see most, if not all objectives to be achieved in the third year of LBS.
